The four stages of a silk velvet flower.
Raw mulberry silk is boiled to remove sericin, resulting in a soft, lustrous texture that captures light beautifully.
Using mineral and plant-based pigments to achieve the subtle gradients seen in nature.
The silk is meticulously twisted around fine brass wires to create individual velvet strips (Rong Tiao).
Each strip is trimmed and bent by hand into petals, then assembled into the final bloom.
